HANGZHOU, CHINA and QUEBEC CITY, CANADA - Hexing Electrical co. announced today that it has selected Ariane's PLM-1 PLC modem for its next generation powerline communicating meters. Ariane's chip will be used in single and three phase meters, remote displays and concentrators.

With sales of over $US 70-million last year, Hexing is the biggest exporter of meters in China. Hexing will market the new PLC meter (HXE12-PLC) around the world through existing channels and via their website.

“We see more and more demand for communicating meters in China and abroad. This new product is part of a complete solution incorporating meter, concentrator, LCD display and relay for remote connect/disconnect.” says Zhou Liang Zhang of Hexing. “After extensive testing, we concluded that Ariane had the best technology for these applications.”

“The Chinese market alone is expected to invest 1.5 trillion Yuan ($US193 billions) to make existing buildings more energy efficient by 2020. “We are thrilled to build our presence in the market by partnering with a major player” says Daniel Noiseux of Ariane Controls. “Hexing confirms our technology strength in the AMR space.”
