(OTCBB: CDKN.OB) announced today that its subsidiary Arkados Inc., a developer of highly integrated System-on-Chip solutions incorporating powerline communications, was awarded U.S. patent 6,844,809 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The patent, entitled ‘Passive Optical Network Backhaul for Powerline Communications’ contains unique claims focused on connecting a Passive Optical Network (PON) to a powerline communications network, which is commonly referred to as Broadband Powerline (BPL).
