Duke Power Joins HomePlug Powerline Alliance

Charlotte 01/06/2005 - Duke Power is one of the latest firms to join the HomePlug Powerline Alliance, a group that is seeking to set specifications for use of powerlines in networking.

Other new members include EchoStar Technologies and Leviton Manufacturing Company.

Among the group's initiative is setting standards for broadband delivered over powerlines.
