INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, San Francisco, CA - September 26, 2006 - Intellon Corporation, the world leader in HomePlug® standards-based powerline communications (PLC) integrated circuits (ICs), today announced that they will be showcasing consumer ready products at IDF from Actiontec, Asoka, Aztech, D-Link, devolo, Gigafast, Zyxel and others using Intellon's INT6000 IC based on the 200 Mbps Homeplug AV standard.

The new adapter products provide whole home connectivity for multimedia entertainment applications over the existing electrical wiring in a home, with ease of use, whole-house coverage, noise immunity, quality of service, security and accessibility at any AC outlet.

At IDF, Intellon will also be showcasing a technology demonstration featuring Digital Deck's home media entertainment software. This technology display seeks to provide a whole-home media experience for networking DVRs, viewing DVDs, recorded programs, photos, and listening to music throughout the home. Using Intellon's HomePlug AV technology allows Digital Deck to easily connect users with their media via Intellon's No New Wires® solution.

“Today's consumer enjoys a wide variety of choices in home entertainment, but their media is frequently stuck in one room while they're in another,” Ted Malone, vice president of corporate strategy and product marketing at Digital Deck. “Digital Deck is excited to be working with Intellon to extend our solution for connecting media devices and digital media applications like iTunes and Flickr to every room in the consumers home, affordably and with ease.”

“This application highlights the essential role that reliable connectivity plays in the digital home,” said Charlie Harris, chairman and CEO of Intellon. “Intellon's HomePlug-based integrated circuits provide the robust, secure, whole-house connectivity that consumers need to take full advantage of the exciting multimedia applications like Digital Deck's Home Media Entertainment System.”

Intellon's HomePlug-based powerline communications solutions are deployed worldwide by dozens of OEMs, ODMs and service providers for applications such as in-home data networking, WiFi extension, IPTV in-home distribution, audio and video streaming, and Broadband over Powerline (BPL). Intellon's ICs operate over coax as well as powerlines and support bridges to Wi-Fi, UWB and coax technologies for increased network flexibility.
