Arkados Inc. Announces Award of U.S. Patent

North Plainfield NJ, - January 27, 2005 - CDKnet.com, Inc. (OTCBB: CDKN.OB) announced today that its subsidiary Arkados Inc., a developer of highly integrated System-on-Chip solutions incorporating powerline communications, was awarded U.S. patent 6,844,809 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The patent, entitled ‘Passive Optical Network Backhaul for Powerline Communications’ contains unique claims focused on connecting a Passive Optical Network (PON) to a powerline communications network, which is commonly referred to as Broadband Powerline (BPL).

“Powerline communication offers the ease-of-use, speed, and reliability to fully realize the digital home,” stated Oleg Logvinov, one of the inventors, and also president and CEO of Arkados. “This invention may help to create cost-effective deployment architectures.” Mr. Logvinov is also president of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance.

Members of the Arkados team filed the provisional patent in December of 2001.
